FM 28 FLOW THROUGH FLUIDIZED BED

 

DESCRIPTION

 

The setup consists of a glass column with fluidizing material i.e. beads/ Sand, S.S. mesh to support the fluidization material. Pressure drop across fluidized bed can be measured by manometer.

The setup is designed to study the fluidization characteristics and relationship between the velocity of the fluid and pressure drop per unit length.

The apparatus is close circuit type provided with fluid flow & measurement arrangement, with necessary pipeline & valves. The setup is fitted on a MS frame painted with good quality paint.

 

EXPERIMENTS

 

  • To demonstrate fluidization characteristics
  • To study relationship between velocity of fluid and pressure drop per unit length.

 

UTILITIES REQUIRED

 

  • Electric supply Provide 230 +/- 10 VAC, 50 Hz, 1ϕ phase
  • Water supply Tap water connection ½” BSP Distilled water @ 80 liters (optional)
