HT 18 FINNED TUBE HEAT EXCHANGER (Water to Water / Water to Air)

Description

 

Heat exchangers are widely used in various industries. Finned tube Heat Exchanger is a concentric tube type heat exchanger. The fins are attached on the circumference of the outer tube to increase the heat transfer area. Hot water flows through inner tube and cold fluid flows in the annulus The flow rate of hot/cold fluid is measured with the help of two rota-meters. The flow rate of cold fluid (air) is measured by pitot tube/orifice connected to “U” tube manometer in case of water to air system.

Inlet and outlet temperatures of fluids (Hot/cold) are measured with the help of RTD Pt-100 sensors fitted at inlet and outlet points of water flow and displayed on multi-channel digital temperature indicator. A water bath fitted with heaters of suitable capacity is also installed to provide water at different temperature for conducting experiment. A magnetic drive pump is used to circulate hot water from water bath. The Temperature of water bath is controlled by a digital Temperature Controller cum indicator.
