HT 30 TWO PHASE HEAT TRANSFER UNIT

DESCRIPTION

Two phase heat transfer is a mode of heat transfer that occurs because of vaporization. Vaporization is a process in which a substance is changed from liquid to vapour state. Pool boiling takes place when a liquid is confined in a container and a heater is submerged in the liquid

The main apparatus is fitted on MS tube frame consisting of a glass column with a sample holding sump with a heater and drain valve at the bottom and a helical condenser, with water inlet and outlet and a feed valve at the top and the unit is made leak proof with necessary flange connections.

EXPERIMENTS

  • To plot graph of heat flux & temperature difference between metal & liquid.
  • To calculate amount of heat taken away by water from condensing vapor.

FEATURES

  • Superb Painted structure
  • Simple to operate & maintain
