HT 51 HEAT TRANSFER SERVICE UNIT

Description

The present set-up is designed to accommodate different types of small-scale accessories, one at a time (detailed further), most commonly used in industries. These Heat Transfer accessories demonstrate the three basic modes of heat transfer i.e. conduction, convection and radiation. These different types of heat transfer accessories can alternatively be installed on the same set-up. This & common bench provides necessary electrical supply and measurement facility for determining and comparison of the different heat transfer characteristics.

EXPERIMENTS

The following heat transfer experiments are available for use under manual control:

HT 25A: Linear Heat Conduction

HT 25B: Radial Heat Conduction

HT 25C: Laws of Radiant Heat Transfer and Radiant Heat Exchange

HT 25D: Combined Convection and Radiation

HT 25E: Extended Surface Heat Transfer

HT 25F: Radiation Errors in Temperature Measurement

HT 25G: Unsteady State Heat Transfer

HT 25H: Thermo-Electric Heat Pump

HT 25I:   Free & Forced Convection

HT 25J: Conductivity of Liquids and Gases

FEATURES

  • Common bench top unit to accommodate seven heat transfer accessories, alternatively

UTILITIES REQUIRED

  • Water Supply: at 2 LPM (maximum) at constant head
  • Laboratory Drain
  • Electricity Supply: 220VAC, Single Phase, 50 Hz, 3 kW (maximum)
