BEHAVIOUR OF COLUMN AND STRUTS APPARATUS
Test set-up allows columns with different boundary conditions as follows
- both ends pinned
- both ends fixed
- both ends fixed
- one end pinned and the other end fixed
Provision has there to trace the deflected shape of the strut.
Supporting stands are supplied.
Preferably, provisions have to there to vary the strut length and to test strut specimens with rectangular, square, and circular cross-sections.
The apparatus contains the necessary measuring and loading equipment such as a dial gauge (25 mm travel at least) with a magnetic stand, a load hanger, and a stainless steel or a brass weight set.
